Traverse City ~ Koka City

The Michigan Shiga Sister State Board, in conjunction with Traverse City Area Public Schools, USED to offer a middle school student exchange program. This was an opportunity for six 8th grade students from West Middle and East Middle Schools to experience the culture and educational system of Japan.  Students spend a week hosting a student from Japan. In return, our students’ families  host a student from Japan for a week. We feel exchange programs change lives. We hope that TCAPS will reconsider this program in the future!
